Autism and the Hollow Mask Illusion


There is research that suggests some people on the Autism Spectrum do not see the "Hollow Mask Illusion" in the linked Video below:

Most people see the illusion of a normal face when the hollow mask is rotated.

Prospagnosia, or what is commonly referred to as "face blindness", where one cannot consistently recognize people by their facial features, is also a clinical feature among some people on the spectrum.
